Title I Schools | Runner2Runner

A school meets Title 1 eligibility if 40% of their student population is considered to come from a low income family. The purpose of Title I school funding is to provide programs in schools that otherwise would not be able to offer them due to budgetary restraints. We are one of those programs! Your donation dollars go directly to helping us offer our Cross Country and Track & Field programs at a deep discount to Title I schools, often resulting in zero cost for families. Some of the most rewarding work we do is introducing kids at these schools to our sport - many who have never had the opportunity to be coached in a formal setting.

Runner2Runner presence in Title I Schools (2021-2023)

“The team is made up of entirely BIPOC kids, many of whom English is their second language. As an Asian-American Coach, I see a lot of myself in these young athletes. I remember how little I knew about running programs being offered in the area. This program provides a fantastic gateway to Cross Country and Track & Field. I’m excited to see how this team blossoms in the future.”
